The Ateneo Biological Organization – eXplore. eXperience. eXcel. is the premier Ateneo organization that is dedicated to the appreciation of the biological sciences. They envision themselves as competent and conscientious leaders of advocacy and action in biodiversity, bioeducation, and animal welfare for the Philippines.
Mission
The Ateneo Biological Organization – eXplore. eXperience. eXcel. aims to form individuals who are guided by Ignatian spirituality and sense of service as they eXplore issues concerning the diversity of life; eXperience social transformation through active involvement and concrete action; and eXcel as leaders in nation-building through their personal endeavors

Our Objectives
In actualizing its Vision-Mission, Ateneo BOx operates on the following objectives:
To form leaders who contribute to nation-building through advocacy and action for Philippine biodiversity, bioeducation, and animal welfare.
To extend academic support to complement the existing Ateneo curriculum.
To establish unity within the biology community inside and outside the Ateneo through opportunities for self-discovery and member interaction.
Our History
The Ateneo Biological Organization – eXplore. eXperience. eXcel was founded in October 2004 by Ronald Cruz (BS Bio ’02 and faculty member) and several students handpicked by the faculty (most of whom would become the members of the first Executive Board) with a goal to create a student organization that will cater to the biological interests of the students. Since then, the organization has accomplished several milestones such as becoming a founding member of the Biology Majors Association of the Philippines (BMAP), organizing the annual Philippine Biology Olympiad, and growing its community by establishing the Ateneo BOx for the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School.
